Fight or Flight? (2019)

Psychological behaviours in humans can vary in different ways. How do we visualise fear? In what context can fear be induced? Using a wide selection of found footages from film archives and video collections, the work uses a variety of subliminal techniques to illustrates themes of escape, fear and terror. The found footages present violent attacks both from humans and animals, and stages a literal attack on both vision and ethics. The result is not interactivity but isolation: For all the viewers cannot intervene.
